The ERA is committed to empowering and protecting the consumer

As retailers who sell from ‘distance’ through TV, internet or radio, the Electronic Retailing Association takes very seriously its responsibility to act with the best interests of its customers in mind. This is why we implement a number of measures designed to create a set of standards which protect the consumer and ‘weed’ out companies who do not comply to the standards we set.

Know your rights as a consumer, learn the  European merchants’ best practices and obligations on shipping, payments, returns and all phases of your purchase. You can also get information on Consumer Protection organizations in your country.

ERA Europe’s Self Regulation Program is designed to protect you, the consumer, from misleading advertising claims, and from dishonest or immoral acts during the entire retailing process.
