Unordered Items
The European Distance Selling Directive has strengthened consumer rights regarding delivery and billing of items that have not been specifically ordered by the customer.
Hence, the European member states shall each take measures to prohibit the mailing of unordered merchandise or services to consumers and then demanding payment. The absence of a reaction shall not legally be deemed as consent.
For the implementation of the European Distance Selling Directive into national law, regarding sending of an unordered item and the legal consequences, please see the local law in your country.
